I have a question for you…

Have you ever TRIED almond or coconut milk? I mean have you ever tried it with an open mind? If you haven’t, then I challenge you to try it again. I’ve drank.. drunk?… been drinking? almond and coconut milk since July and haven’t missed dairy at all. Being a tad bit lactose intolerant had a little to do with that but I’m just saying that it’s a really great alternative.

Did you know…?

Dairy is actually an inflammatory. Dictionary.com says inflammation “is redness, swelling, pain, tenderness, heat, and disturbed function of an area of the body,
especially as a reaction of tissues to injurious agents.”

According to Women’s Health Magazine, “Milk is designed by nature to make calves gain weight quickly. And since we are not calves—or even babies any longer—our bodies do not require milk. Contrary to popular belief and advertisement, bone strength does not come from consuming milk and other dairy products but from plant foods. In fact, dairy is a highly inflammatory food for most people. And more processing (“skimming”) does not make it any healthier, only more inflammatory.”

Make calves gain weight quickly“… Yeah, I’ll have a no thank you portion of that, thank you very much.

No cows are tormented in the collection of the almond or coconut milk, so that’s a plus! Not gonna judge if you wanna stick to your dairy… as I always say “to each their own”. However, in honor of National Milk Day, you could find yourself liking a substitute!
